A-3 Skywarrior Homepage
Al Rankin and Mark Swisher run the only site on the Net devoted to the magnificent "Whale." A bit graphic-intensive (with associated long download times), but worth the wait.

Carrier Airborne Early Warning Internet Air Wing

The Gunfighter's Page
Internet home of the F-8 Crusader Association, the "Last of the Gunfighters." Aircraft-for-aircraft, the F-8 was probably the most effective air-to-air fighter over Southeast Asia, in large part due to the superb ACM training of its crews and its primary gun (rather than missile) armament. Visit the home of the "MiG Master" here.

The MiG-21 Page
Thomas Kraft was a MiG-21 pilot in the East German Air Force before the Wall came down. Now living on the East Coast, he's provided a fantastically detailed look at the legendary Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21. This is really a must-see.

Pardon My Intrusion
Bill Watkins' has built a fantastic tribute to the Grumman A-6 Intruder, including photos from every squadron that ever operated Intruders. Must-see.

The Skyhawk Association
The web home of the A-4 Skyhawk Association, devoted to "Heinemann's Hotrod." Run by Bud Southworth.

Plane Crazy Enterprises
As a teenager, I bought my first squadron patches from Plane Crazy Enterprises, which at the time ran ads in the back of Aviation Week & Space Technology.  Specializing in naval aviation collectibles, Plane Crazy is now on the web.  Its owner, Carl Altevogt, always has an incredible selection of unique items available.  Highly recommended if you're interested in Navy patches.

Quizmo's Limited
Quizmo's specializes in both contemporary and historical USAF, USN, and USMC aviation patches from all communities. They carry some patches designed to commemorate specific events and document each of their patches in some detail. If you're a collector looking for a particular patch, this is a place to start looking.

USAFPatches.com
Richard M. Operhall manages this web site, devoted to all kinds of USAF insignia and unit patches. Features a great patch-of-the-week feature which, in addition to beautiful color scans, gives extensive details on unit history.  Formerly the Air Force Patch Collectors' Homepage.

Landings
Guenther Eichhorn maintains a very complete list of military aviation servers. Includes links to general and civil aviation.

Neptunus Lex
"Neptunus Lex" is a naval officer who has spent the past 19 years in the tailhook Navy, beginning his career in one of the first F/A-18 squadrons and eventually rising to command of Strike Fighter Squadron 94 (the "Mighty Shrikes").  Currently in a staff job in San Diego (and recently promoted to captain), Lex maintains a weblog that is an absolute must-read for anyone with even a passing interest in naval aviation.  His "tales of the sea service" consist of thrilling personal narratives recounting the camaraderie, danger, and humor of flying from and around The Boat.  He also writes some pretty good poetry.
