The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association International constitutes the electronic warfare industry "establishment," and publishes the well-regarded Signal.

Critical Infrastructure Assurance Office
Formed in May 1998 by order of the President, CIAO is the national coordinating office for critical infrastructure assurance policy, working to defend key elements of the national infrastructure against physical or cyber attack.  Now part of the Bureau of Industry & Security, U.S. Department of Commerce.

Infowar.Com
Winn Schwartau, author of Information Warfare and noted consultant on the subject, runs this site on netwar, cyberwar, and information dominance. Includes an extremely valuable online bookstore that sells some hard-to-find texts in electronic form.

San Francisco Bay Area InfraGard
The Bay Area chapter of the national InfraGard program, an FBI-sponsored public-private partnership that brings together private sector actors to exchange ideas about protecting critical infrastructures.  Rich Davies of the Western Disaster Center runs the SF Bay InfraGard site.

Journal of Electronic Defense (JED) Online
The trade journal for the military electronics industry has a very informative web site available. Registration required.

J-6 Directorate for C4 Systems
The Joint Staff's Directorate for Command, Control, Communications, and Computer Systems, also known as J-6. This is the top-level office for C4 issues, reporting to the Joint Chiefs.

President's Commission on Critical Infrastructure Protection
Official site of the blue-ribbon commission formed to study the problem of critical infrastructure protection, whose October 1997 report, Critical Foundations, led to the formation of the CIAO.
